Looking for a Original 1861 Springfield Middle band (flat band), also looking for a 1855 Original Lockplate or Lock, any date is OK.

I've been looking for one also...Lodgewood has an original for $200.00. I checked with Ed Knisely and he does not have any.

There is an 1855 parts gun on Gunbroker that had been made into a lamp. It's not much but it's something you want and don't have. The lock is dated 1858 and is missing the door. There might be some other parts you can use or sell. Search for "Springfield 1855" and you'll find it.

That '55 lamp has been listed and relisted quite a few times. Many times with no bids. Once there was a pretty high bid (for the condition), I'm thinking in the $500 plus range and it didn't meet the reserve. With that said, before you bid any higher, go back and take another look (on zoom). It looks to me like the tip of the hump may have been ground off. You may also want to send the seller a question as to what, if any, internals are inside the lock.
