Picked up a model 65 for plinking. Any recommendations for a mould? I did not see any on the Romano site. Accurate has a .36 Maynard mould. Comments?

Lou, check Moose Moulds web page, I believe they have a .36 Caliber Maynard mould.

Hi, Lou:

Best to measure your bore and TWIST. Then contact John Bly. Be sure to know if it has been lined and who did it. Some lined ones can have what seems to be 38-55 specifications.

Romano's current 36 bullet casts an unsized diameter of .369" - .370" in soft alloy for his barrels that have a .365" groove diameter and an 18" twist. The bullet weights 205 gr. and is .850" long.

Original 36 Maynards have different spec's. than Larry's.

If you think Romano's will work, I will try to find you one and in the meantime can cast you some to try.

Kevin Tinny

Thanks Kevin. The barrel is original and pretty mint. The action needs some TLC
