Hey All;
Need to get some reduced capacity 36 cal brass for my Maynard. I have checked with S&S and Lodgewood . They are out and have no idea when any more will be coming in. http://www.n-ssa.net/vbforum/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif

BTT, Still looking for 36 reduced capacity Maynard brass

I have a 36 cal Maynard but never heard of "reduced capacity" brass. My cases hold about 30 grains of 3f.

If you have any full capacity brass you're not going to need, I'd like to buy about 20. Maybe more.

I've never heard of reduced capacity 36 Maynard cases either. I've had reports that the capacity of the cases vary depending on who made them and when they were made but to my knowledge none were ever explicitly made as reduced capacity cases. Just use less powder and a filler if you need to.

Most of my brass are reduced capacity they will only hold about 24.2 gr. {by weight} of 3f Swiss. They have a step in them . My full capacity brass holds over 30 gr. Lodgewood sells the 36 cal reduced brass. But are out and have no idea when they will get any more in.

Am confused with the progression of comments about what is needed, but might be able to help:

I have both full capacity (no internal step) and reduced capacity (with internal step) turned brass cases for the 35 Maynard. They are all unused, new.

If any of you need a small quantity to get going, please let me know.

Respectfully,

Hey PJ;
I am going to keep my Starr`s in reserve . But I think the 1st Model Maynard is going to be my new favorite for some time to come. The 36 cal barrel on it lets me really get them down range FAST ! I have some reduced capacity cases to work with. But I always want to have more with me at the shoot then I may need. Better to have it and not need it. Then to need it and not have it . http://www.n-ssa.net/vbforum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif
