Anyone have any idea what a Shiloh new model 1863 , 3 band rifle would be worth? Was made in Big Timber Mt. Has a few handling marks, appears to never have been fired, someone fired a few caps and had a bayonet lug soldered to the barrel, it is a .54 cal and was manufactured in 89 or 90, just before the Bryan family bought out Shiloh.

So no one here has an idea of the value, must not be worth much then, I'll give it to my kids to play fort with. Thanks

I'll give you $300 for it.

The genuine expert who may give you the best answer may not have viewed the request for information within the time elapsed. Some members only intermittently check the BB. I tried a Google search and didn't come up with what I felt might be a good answer. I'd hold off on giving it to the kids or using it as a truly unique tomato stake (with apologies to Raider). Good luck, though, sounds like a nice piece.

I've seen three band Pedersoli Sharps sold for as low as $1,200 and asking prices as high as $1,900 on Shiloh. There isn't a lot of demand for them in the NSSA.

You got it off GB, did you check there? Or Guns International or Auction Arms or Flaydermans?

Didn't figure anyone at the NSSA would have much use for it, thanks for the input, kids will have fun with it anyway .

I don't think Shiloh makes percussion variants of the Sharps anymore, so there's that.

All their current guns look to start at around $2000.

For the record, Gunbroker shows that rifle as having sold for $1,225, plus shipping. Not a bad price.

I will admit Mike caught me, I did not receive the rebuke or indignation I was expecting from the Sharps junkies when I suggested I would give it to the kids for the fort, I did in fact give 1225.00 for the rifle and was fishing to see if I got a good buy, my apologies to those that sent PM concerned for the rifle, and thanks for the 300.00 offer, but I think I will decline. You are a bunch of good spirited men ad thought I could get a rise, Thanks for spoiling my fun Mike.

Most of the adds I've seen ask for around $1800 but then they usually do sell for $1100 to $1400.
