I have a 2nd Model Maynard carbine for sale. This one has been rebuilt from a much used, abused relic. The stock has been repaired and is better than new. The repair is hard to see. It still has both cartouches. The flash hole has been repaired with a high temperature stainless steel insert. The nipple threads were ruined so it has been rethreaded for a Smith nipple and has a new stainless nipple. There are several new screws properly made and fitted then heat treated for long life. It has a repro mainspring and trigger spring and a new trigger from S&S. The trigger pull is about 4 lbs. It has one of my new barrels with new Rich Cross sights. The barrel has been rust blued and rubbed out to look old and used. It locks up well and the headspace is correct. It will shoot a .516"-.517" diameter bullet.
The price is $1200 and I can deliver to the fort or anywhere near Winchester, VA. Shipping will be $25 if you need it shipped. I did all the work on the Maynard and I stand behind my work. I'll give a 1 year warranty on the carbine. If anything goes wrong in that time I'll take care for the buyer. No, it is not all original and is not collectible but it will make a good serviceable skirmish carbine. It just needs load development and sighted in.
