L. Romano Rifle Company, 1st Model Maynard Carbine
Early production, serial number 032
Two barrels, 37 and 50 caliber, plus brass for both and accessories.
Includes an extra sight with updated windage adjustment, about 150 full capacity 50 caliber
brass cases, fifty 37 caliber brass cases and thirty 37 caliber stainless steel cases. SAC approved
in both calibers.
Includes
Extra nipples for both musket and #11 caps
a custom made, one of a kind reloading tool for 50 caliber
a Lee press modified to load 37 caliber ammunition
bullet moulds for both and loading blocks, tools and accessories.
$3200
Normal price for Maynard brass in either caliber is $3.15 each, but S&S has them for $2 each as a Christmas special. That puts the brass at $540 on sale. Romano is now asking $3995 for a new 1st Model with one barrel.
I know this is a highly specialized piece of equipment, but the truth is I don't shoot it as well as I should and think the time has come to send it down the road.
I will consider a Shiloh Sharps carbine as a part of the deal if someone has one that is skirmish ready.
