Pat,

Check with Dan Whitacre. I think he now owns the old Weisz Rifling machine.
He bought it from Mike Yeck I believe back in the early 1980's
Mike bought the rifling machine from Weisz in the early to mid 1970's (I believe)

Pat,

I think Dan Whitacre bought the Weisz machinery in 1977. He and Guy Owen, along with Brannen Sanders established Fort Loudoun Manufactory in Whitacre, VA, and I know they were selling barrels and gun stocks at the 1978 Spring National. Between buying one of Dan's barrels for $110 and Guy's stocks for $55, Jerry Harmon had lockplates, bands, and buttplates, such that you could have built a brand-new M1855 Harpers Ferry or '61 Springfield, or Richmond or Fayetteville for under $300. Can't do that today.
