View Full Version : For Sale at Nationals, 2 Mississippi Rifles & Rifled 1842

1. Model 1841 Mississippi with SAC card. This was an original Model 1841 the had it's stock replaced with Dunlop stock. The full length barrel was relined by Bobby Hoyt in .54 cal. and given a new breech plug. The bands, barrel, butt plate, patch box, ramrod, trigger assembly and lock are all from the same rifle. Rich Cross long range rear sight. Dovetailed front sight. Lock plate says E. Whitney. Date is not legible. $1350.

2. Model 1841 Mississippi in .58 cal. Full length, original brown barrel rifled by Hoyt from .54 cal. to .58 cal. It is not relined. Original stock stretched from the rear band forward. Forearm, band springs and top band are reproductions. Tumbler and sear are new.The original block rear sight and brass blade sight are on the barrel. Lock plate is marked Robins & Lawrence, US. Rear of plate marked Windsor VT 1852. I will have it SAC inspected on Thursday at the Nationals. The rifle will have a SAC card. $1100.00

3. Rifled Model 1842 with a SAC card. The original stock stretched from the middle band. The barrel is relined & stretched by Hoyt from under the middle band. Three lands & grooves rifling. Rich Cross long range rear sight and a rifle front sight. The metal is in excellent condition. Lock plate is strongly marked Springfield with 1846 on both plate and barrel. $1150.00
