Proper 54 cal musket tubes wanted

a while back there was a skirmisher who had some longer than normal 54 cal cap plugs made up. I think the dia was a little larger as well. in any case they were perfect for a 534400 style bullet. I was wondering if they are still available or if someone could tell me where to obtain them. thanks hp

The Caplug stock number that you want is 1/2 SC X 1 1/2. That's what I use for my .54 Jaeger. It holds the bullet, 45-50 grains of FFFg powder, and is long enough to work well in the cartridge box. Order them directly from Caplug. Its a whole lot less expensive than from a sutler.

Does cap plug still have minimum orders? The last time I ordered musket tubes from them, I had to by 10K. But I found enough guys on my team that needed them.

I can get buy with what I have for now. just thought it would be a good time to buy some more. they work mighty good. easy to get the bullet out and they don't split. I don't think you can wear them out. thanks
