I am setting up a load for the .36 Maynard and wanted to know if anyone uses a modern reloading die to seat the bullet. A 50-70 WCF works great for the .50, any thoughts on a RL die for the .36? Thanks in advance!

Steve, this may not be what you are looking for, but I use the .50 cal seating die (hand or hammer type) from Lodgewood on my Romano 1st Model and it works fine as long as I don't pound too hard and swell the case where the bullet meets the shoulder (reduced capacity cases.) I would tend to believe that with the straight inner wall of the .36 Maynard, the hand tool would be all you would need, if the bullets are the proper size to seat without swelling the case mouth. The same style dies are available from S&S as well as Lodgewood and probably others I am not aware of.
