If anyone uses this bullet for a Smith carbine, how do you lube it? For musket rounds of a similar configuration, understand that you don't want large amounts of lube in the gap between the base and the major portion of the round. I have had the mold for ten years and never really tried it. Thanks, Bob

Bob, just lube the base and be careful not get lube in the compression groove. If you get too much in there, the bullet will not compress properly, the groove allows the base to collapse against the nose. Keep in mind that's how I lube and size the .542 Wilkinson I use in my Mississippi rifle. I have not tried them in a Smith so I can't tell you how the bullet will work in a breech loader.
