I need a replacement hammer for a Navy Arms 1851 revolver. Lodgewood only has Pietta hammers, which they say are not interchangeable with Navy Arms revolvers. VTI has hammers for Uberti and Army San Marcos, but I don't know if they'd work. Does anyone know if they would, or where I can get a Navy Arms part?

Did you try S&S or Navy Arms. I now that when Tom Ball was alive and building his pistols he got a lot of his parts from Dixie Gun Works you could try there. I know there were times he had to replace hammers.

S&S only lists one hammer, and it's address is listed under Uberti parts, so I'm assuming that's who makes it. The hammer listed in the Dixie catalog is less than $18, and the S&S hammer is $48.

I just took a second look at the markings on the gun. It was made in 1982, and I did find an 'FAP' (Pietta) in a diamond on the bottom of the butt.
