Does anyone know who might sell the plastic tubes that are used to load the Sharps carbine? Where the powder is placed in the tube and the bullet is then stuck on the end. The tube is then put in teh barrel, the bullet is twisted off and the powder dropped behind the bullet.

S&S doesn't list the tubes but do other sutlers sell them?

Thanks

Rich

Rich, if you're thinking of the yellow plastic tubes like the soft plastic .54 musket tubes, don't. When weather is hot, they don't hold the bullet.
The Shelltubes/Us are great but I shortened the outer plastic ring that holds the bullet so that when inserted in a Shiloh Sharps, the bullet is pushed coaxilly (sp) w/ the bore. They are great when you don't have alot of time to make up ammo. Use them for Individuals and the cartridges for Team.
