Looking for a mainspring

I have been on the quest for 1817 Common Rifle lock parts and I now have found everything EXCEPT for a mainspring. That part seems as scarce as hens teeth. I am asking if anybody has an original mainspring that they may be willing to sell/trade. If not, I guess I will have to go through The Rifle Shoppe. Thanks for any leads or help.

The odds of finding a common rifle mainspring are slim and the odds of finding one that fits and works are even slimmer. S&S carries a lot of Rifle Shoppe parts and you may get one quicker from them should you choose to go that route. You previously asked for and got information on heat treating a mainspring so you should be good to go.

I did get the info for heat treating and tried it on a spring for another Rifke. I am confident on that kart, I just need the spring at this point. I will give S&as a try.
