I know I have seen articles that provide the formula to determine how much to move a sight to drop impact by 6 inches at 50 yards. However, I cannot locate it. Would appreciate receiving the formula.

Just search on the key word "formula"

The formula is sight radius (in inches) divided by range to target (in inches) = amount to move sight for 1 inch of bullet impact movement.
For instance, if your sight radius is 22 inches (rear sight to front sight), you divide 22/1800. 1800 inches is 50 yards. Result is .012. So, in this example. to lower your impact 6 inches at 50 yards, you have to raise the front sight (or lower the rear sight) 6x.012, or .072 inches.
For 100 yards, divide sight radius by 3600.
Got it?
