I have a mould which I am fond of,but would like to have it reamed(?) approximately 2-3 thousandths over. Is this possible? If so,who ,where, and any other info would be appreciated. If the mould is able to be oversized, should the base plug be oversized also? Can't buy a new mould of the size wanted as this is somewhat custom. Thanks.

yes it is possable to do it on a lathe or a mill. but, I had three molds ruined about 25 years ago by someone who was supposed to be able to do it.

I would be willing to take a look at it. I have a set of laps I use to remove this small amount, and have done several. I need to know the mould material, (steel, iron, brass, or aluminum) and the size and style.
