Looking to buy a repo whitney navy revolver. They were made by palmetto and sold through dixie gun works. A kit gun would be fine ( many where sold this way).*

thanks for looking and safe shooting*

I wuz watching an episode of "Pawn Stars" and there was a feller on there that had one. Don't remember if Rick bought it or not.

FWIW I had one of these several years ago and found it painful to shoot. I have arthritus in my right hand and the trigger guard caught me right across the knuckle of my middle finger. It is very tight space between the handle and the trigger guard.

These are hard to find, but they have potential if you do find one. Mine needed three fixes. The chambers are dramatically undersize and should be reamed up to 0.374", which will also clean up the crappy factory finish. The cones (nipples) are prety bad too. Interestingly, they are the same size as original Colt short cones (0.225X32 0.435 long). Ampco makes the long Colt cones, which are not hard to shorten. That was a big improvement. Finally, the indexing on mine was way off (0.020" or so). That was fixed by reworking the cylinder bolt. It will now hold the 10 ring from a rest at 25 yards. For some reason, this revolver likes full steam loads. It seems to shoot best with 19 gr. of Scheutzen FFF with no filler and a soft lead ball.

If your fingers are't too big for the trigger guard and you can do the tuneup work, it will be a good skirmish revolver.
