Hello. I am considering the purchase of a Model 1861 Plymouth Navy Rifle which has been restored from a cut-down, and I want to make sure that it was done properly to pass SAC inspection. Is there some way that I can find out the correct dimensions for the spacing and position of the barrel bands, and of the correct barrel length and positioning of the bayonet lug and rear sight?
Thank you,

has a check sheet with dimensions for these things. You would need to get a copy of the sheet for the weapon in question from them.

Yes, I figured that was the case. My question is how to get the spec sheet. I was hoping that someone from the SAC would respond.

Send me an e-mail at minieball577@yahoo.com for the spec sheet. I can't locate your e-mail or I would just send it along.
