To all,
I will make this simple. I live in Pa. and for NEXT year I am looking for a flintlock for the deer season so I can extend my season NEXT year. I am really looking for a trade if possible. I have Plymouth rifle that is 90% ready to go for skirmishing. The Plymouth rifle is missing a rear sight and nipple for skirmishing.
I can send pictures if interested. It has been glass bedded. The stock is a two piece. The front end looks original, but a replacement. It still has good rifiing in the bore. The lock works with no problem. I will send pics if interested. I will call it a project gun because I do not have a rear sight on the rifle and do not have a load worked up.
With that being said, I would love to find something in the .54 caliber range but not a must, am looking for some thing like a 1803 rifle repro, but not a must. Really, anything that is a flint that is in the $800 range up really would be considered. I hope that I am not being too finicky, but trading an original for a repro or custom made I think is a fair trade. Thank you for any consideration....

With Warmest Regards,
Bryan

Bryan, I have both a .50 and a .54 for sale. They are Thompson Centers and in decent shape. Asking 295+ shipping. If you are not in a hurry my brother can bring one back to PA in Jan.

For your consideration,
Fred

Bryan,

If you are interested, original rear sights for the Plymouth are difficult to comeby, but for a skirmish rifle, Lodgewood offers a repro sight ($125) that ispretty nice. Lodgewood also has an original rear sight ($350) but requires a riflealso in near perfect condition to be a match for finish. Cones (nipples) can behad though it may take some “fitting” to find one that works.

Haven't heard anything more about it but Frank Garrett had mentioned a few months ago that Armi was pondering making a replica Plymouth rifle as another potential offering in the .69 caliber range. I presumed it was more than mere rumor given the source. Guess we will have to wait and see what gels.

Got a 33 inch Brown bess untouched that is made by Pedersoli in.75 cal in excellent condition? Has good period leather strap as well w/ a bunch of balls already cast maybe 100 or more. PM if you are interested also have a project rifle with cherry stock full lenght , Getz swamped barrel in 54 cal rifled sliding patch box -lock has not been inletted nor trigger guard needs both and but plate of you're choice has great potential barrel has not been fitted for sights but I have made them for the rifle just never got around to finishing it yet.
