Barrel date code BB, which I believe makes it a 1992 proof date.
Includes vernier tang sight and wind gauge front sight, plus barrel mounted sights with modifications, a
nylon false muzzle for cleaning and loading and a hard case.
This is the equivalent of a 45-90 muzzleloader. I have used it to shoot at ram silhouettes at 500 meters with
respectable success. My best groups were shot with 85 grains of Swiss 1 1/2, a Lyman 457122 bullet sized to
.451 and a poly wad. This rifle is undefeated in long range competitions (3 for 3) in the Northwest Territory of
the N-SSA. Seems they don't hold matches like that anymore, so this is up for sale.
$850 or best offer. For an additional $50, I will include a custom made Oak shooting box I built to hold all of the powder, wads, etc.
(This doesn't include those accessories, just the box. Pictures available on request.)
