SOLD PEND FUNDS: Orig (un-issued) cap pouch

SOLD PENDING FUNDS: ORIGINAL (UN-ISSUED) LEATHER CAP POUCH

Offering a very nice, un-issued, federal leather cap pouch. This item is completely intact with NO cracks in the leather. It was purchased by my late father in the 50?s when early skirmishers ONLY had access to original leathers. Due to its appearance and condition, this item was obviously NEVER used in skirmishing. Instead, it simply sat in climate controlled environment for decades.

The outer flap & left belt loop exhibit slight age marks, but no breaks, cracks, or tears. The inner flap shows an oval encircled Sub-Inspector stamp. Smooth leather; however, the pouch is stiff ? but not cracked. All stitching is present, tight and unbroken. Retains its inner fleece AND factory installed nipple pick tool! (as pictured)

Of note: In order to make this item appealing to a larger audience of collectors ? I have NOT treated or cleaned this item (hence the stiffness of the leather). Verdigris around reverse belt loop rivets & lower finial attachment. For the serious collector, this item is free of any modern oils, waxes, or chemicals. This item is as it was, when it was stored at a federal supply depot.

All else fine, and handsome. In all, a splendid item that will be a great addition to any Civil War collection!

Compared to other original cap pouches currently being advertised ? this one is in MUCH better condition, & at a MUCH better price for what?s being offered.

Price dropped - asking 000.00 (plus S/H) [sorry no trades please] .
