Variation on the 4 inch tile.

Since most skirmishers like the 4 inch tile, let's change it up a bit. Let the 4 inch tile be the backer for the target. Issue colored stickers with one sticker per tile. The team can put the sticker anywhere on the tile. The object is to hit or remove the sticker from the tile. In essence you are eliminating the "cheap hits" on the four inch tile. If you hit a tile, but the sticker remains; it is not scored as a hit and the penalty is issued. If you do not like the sticker idea, a rubber stamp can be used but the stamp will be more labor intensive.

    Playing card game.

My friends and I have shot those playing card games. They are fun. The problem is when the bullet hits two or more cards. You will need a half bullet rule or guide lines for scoring. The advantage goes to the shooter who can group the shots. I won the first game against my friends when I put 4 of the five shots in the same card. After that game everyone was trying to score four of a kind. Your thoughts?

I offered to buy the gongs and other steel targets for use as a special fun shoots.
    Got shot down.
Be fun to shoot different targets. Adds more to it.
Just get boring shooting the same targets.

Years ago the 7th Virginia had 200yards gongs at their shoot and a special long range shoot. Plenty of folks shot at them. I believe those gongs reside with someone on the 49th Virginia now. Reusable and no cost after purchased. You run a 50/50 with the. Just like the bird board elimination.......shoot til ya hit then keep going to you miss. Most consecutive hits wins half the pot.
