    WTB: 1859 Sharps carbine parts

Hi. Just joined and hope someone here might have parts to help me finish my 1859 Sharps carbine restoration. Had a scavenged shell mostly, with rust and damage to tackle first. Hooked up with Lodgewood, S&S, and Dixie Gun Works for some parts. Also emailed many CW relics site owners and Sharps parts collectorers/restorers, like Brooks in WA and Erickson (PA?).

I still need these parts (original, not repro), well worn or damaged okay, as it's not going to command big bucks. It was a $2 garage sale find, with the husband passing, and the wife (nor I at the time) having any idea of its manufacturer.

    Forend, band, screw
Stock, patch box, butt plate, screws - all five the same?
    Rear sight (have base)
    Front sight (have base)
    Front tang screw
    Rear trigger plate screw

That should just about do it. If you know anybody who might have a donor or single parts, please forward my email ewmail15@gmail.com. Thanks, Eric in WI.

    Sharps parts, please?

I was told by a gun dealer at a local show that this forum was where many Sharps shooters would be, and where I'd have the best chance at picking up parts for my Sharps carbine. Lot of views but no responses. Any other key contacts than Erickson, Knisely, Brooks who I could contact?

We would need to know manufacture in order to know what parts will fit it. If it an original gun we would need to know that. Maybe a picture or two and we can tell if you can't. There should been writing on the barrel and receiver which will give us the needed info. I'm guessing it's original but you go on to say you don't know manufacture meaning modern??

It's an original 1859 Sharps carbine

Here are some pics. I'll check out GunBroker.com again for parts. I've also been on liveauctioneers.com and seen some nice rifles and parts, just not what I need.
