    Dear All,

I would like to show some more info about the Pedersoli Lorenz. According to Pedersoli the first batch will arrive to IFG in a few weeks. Here are some range tests from the past weeks:

And the latest with a .547 light Minié bullet:

    Best regards,

ps: no problem about reminding me about safety. Target shooting rules are different from N-SSA rules, but it is never a problem to be more safe.

Price will be the same as the 1857 Württembergischen.

    Balaz,

I'm happy to hear you're not offended by our member's expressions of concern for safety. I think John Holland summed it up pretty well. I always enjoy your videos. Not only the actual shooting, but I find the historical background information to be very interesting and informative. Thank you for your efforts and keep up the good work.

So if that is true, and most in this country want correctness, why pay that price for incorrect wood ?

I believe their Enfield muskets are also made from American Walnut, which is also incorrect. I suspect they simply don't want to try and source period-correct wood for the various kinds of muskets, assuming it's even still available in gunstock sizes anymore. I suspect most people are like me, who can't tell by looking at it what kind of wood it's made from, so physical dimensions are more important than the actual materials used. It's not like the rest of the gun is made from bloomery hearth wrought iron, either. Who knows.

To get a barrel that will shoot the lights out. Kindly remember that this gun is not aimed at the reenactor market. It's meant as an MLAIC match-grade firearm...and the International target is an unforgiving beast. The 10-ring is the size of the U.S. X-ring.
