    1853 armi sport sight

    I have 1853 armi sport Enfield the sight broke off took it to a gun Smith he put it back on shot about 4 feet to the right brought it back he made change now about 6 feet to the left 50.00 dollars a trip 100 dollars in the hole and still not right does anyone know of any kind of clamp on sight that will work with this rifle does not have to be period correct as I only use it for target shooting any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

    4 to 6 feet off? What range are you shooting? Over 100 yards?

    I always make my replacement front sights (George knocked off the last one). Have some fun with this. Install it with Super Glue.
    I got to add one other thing, when I first started shooting minies (I think it was 1936) I used a "service" charge - 70 grains. Checked bullets - I was blowing the skirts out. Try smaller charges - I use 35 grains for N-SSA competition.

    I have been shooting 60 grains grouping is good about the size of a paper plate @ 100 yards just firing from the shoulder supported leaning on a table just high and right
