    WTB-Musket.... Mississippi need not apply

My dad is shooting with our team using a P53 Enfield, problem is he's knocking on 84 and really needs a lighter gun. I had one lined up but the funding fell through on my end thanks to events outside of my control. Well, I now have enough to deal with this again.

Here's what's happening. My oldest son (active military) is flying in from his base in KS to join NSSA and shoot with PawPaw and dad (me) at the fall nationals. We're a musket short for him. I was planning on having the one referred to in the first paragraph for my dad and the P53 with my son. Add to the mix, my brother is making noise about possibly joining and shooting with us and now.... well, the armory is a bit thin. In any case, I need a musket, preferably a 2 band, light enough for an elderly skirmisher, that shoots pretty well.

Please PM me and we'll start the conversation.

Guys, I'm still trying to find a 2 band for an 84yo skirmisher.

Well this may be controversial which is something I abhor, but Colt came out with an ultra light two band a number of years ago. There was some controversy about the quality but my friend Sid Carter had great success with his. I recall the lightness really impressed me. Sid moved off to south Georgia so possibly he might part with his (sidcarter@att.net), or maybe someone else.
