    repro M1855 Rifle parts

    Hallo!

I have not "built" any CW longarms in over 30 years so I am out of the loop. I am after reproduction M1855 Rifle brass bands and short nose cap.

I checked online for Dixie, S & S Firearms, and Lodgewood.. and came up empty.

Am I 30 years too late, or are there still sources?

    Help, please?

    55 Parts

S and S lists them on their site, the bands are 58S102 &58S104, I only found a long brass nosecap- # 58S108, but they do list a short iron nose.

    Hope this helps-

    Because there not made anymore

Brian Haack and I had supplied Brass and Iron 1855 bands plus nose caps to all the sutlers from 1983 to about 2010. Folks started complain about the cost of them. People forgot the time and money invested in make parts. I remember Brian I'm done make bands. The profit margin was very small. Brian did so skirimisher's could make these rifles. Now that Brian had pasted away several years ago. All the tooling is going to waste. Very few people even remember Brian. S&S is making their own currently parts.

I remember Bryan Haak, and I really appreciated the parts you guys made. I built my share of riffles, when I skirmished.

    Hallo!

My peak building daze were 1980-1991. In the mix, I did one early M1855 Rifle and one Fayetteville Rifle. Nice to know who made the parts, thanks for making that possible!!

THANKS for the lead. I had scanned S & S on-line site but must have missed them.

Sorry to be slow, my mom died Thursday night.

Thanks again, I ordered a set!

I remember Brian Haak. I bought lots of his parts many years ago. i did not know that he had passed away. I wish someone could have picked up where he left off.
