I just picked up a Three band Enfield musket at an estate sale. It is missing the lockplate. I was wondering if anyone had a lockplate, hammer and all the other parts. I also need the screws for it and the screw for the barrel.
Thanks,
Ken

Might want to check with S&S or Lodgewood.

Be advised that many Enfields were built by contractors and the parts were hand fitted and are not interchangable. It would be best to bring your musket to Winchester during a National and fit the parts there.

It turns out the musket I have is a Eli Whitney 1861 musket. What through me off was the brass washers behind the lockplate. Now I am looking for a lockplate that will fit this musket. It turns out that it is one of the Conn. contract musket that was produced from 1862 to 1863. I looked at S&S, they did not have anything. Lodgewood has some locks that might fit the musket. What I need is a complete lockplate, the screws for the lockplate and the screw for the barrel.
Thanks,
Ken
Lodgewood has all that you seek. You can pick through their piles of parts and build a lock that is all matching and looks like it's been together since way back.....
It would GREATLY benefit you to make it to the Nationals and hand select the parts for fit and matching finish to the rest of you musket least it ends up looking like a pieces together gun with a value to reflect.
