Aluminum Block .680 Round Ball Mould W/Handles - Rapine? -

Aluminum .680 round ball mould and handles. I don't know if this is an early Rapine or not. When I bought it, it was supposed to be Rapine but it's not marked. Anyway the blocks and mould cavity are in good shape. Was $75 now $69.00 shipped to your door. OK, the consensus is this is a Shilo so I've reduced the price accordingly from $75 to $69 shipped. If you want to pick it up in Winchester it's $63!

Yeah, could be. Thought it might be a Challenger, too. Remember those? Some of the early Rapines had those type handles, I have a couple. But they were also marked RAPINE.

The metal, the handles, the sprue plate, lack of venting lines... everything is a dead ringer for my challenger. Which, granted, is a big trash can mold minie, not a round ball.

That is not a Rapine mould. I spent a lot of time watching Ray make his moulds. He did not use a screw to hold the sprue plate on. It is more than likely a Shilo, because the Challenger moulds I had in the past had a design cast into the handles where the handles pivoted.

OK, I believe you. It's a Challenger. Still $75.00 shipped.
