Wanted - Thompson Center New Englander barrel
The wife's cousin just handed me a project gun, a Thompson Center Scout rifle (or carbine, not sure) that laid neglected in a barn for about 25 years. The barrel is rusted and probably scrap. Looking at it more closely, it looks like it is a round TC barrel threaded onto an in-line patent breech.
Does anyone have a TC New Englander barrel in .45 or .50 caliber they want to send down the road? If I'm right, I'm going to restore the Scout and make a great little deer rifle for a grandkid.
Thanks.
