Hi all,
just wondering if anyone owns or has seen a Pedersoli M1841 in 54 cal? What was the fit and finish like and what is the rifling like? Deeper than the 58 version? I know it has 7 groove rifling but do not know the depth.
Thanks,
Damon

Hello Australia!
How is the weather down under? Better then up hear I hope.
Hi Ron,
we are getting rain here, the crops around my area are looking good. It is slowing down some of the early plant sorghum harvest though.
I had the same type of question about a Pedersoli Sharps carbine. I submitted a question to the contact link of their web page. It took a while, but they answered me directly.

Hallo!
I have not seen or handled one yet.
I have one report from a pard who bought one. He says...
The fit, finish, and function is superior to the Euroams ancestor. But it is essentially just Euroarms parts with a better Quality Control boost. It does not deal with any of the "usual" Italian issues such as being bulky and oversized as compared to the originals.
Much the same way the 'Pedersoli' M1861 was/is a QC boosted Euroarms M1861.

Hi all,
I received an email back from Pedersoli, The 54 calibre version is 7 groove, 1 thurn in 48". the bore diameter is 13.7 mm and groove 13.97 (+/- 0.03 mm).
Curt,
did your pard's Mississippi have the hammer centered on the nipple and was the lock inletting of high quality?
Thanks,
Damon
Sorry had you said molasses I would have know what you talking about. I don't recall having heard it call sorghum. But if you look at the bottom of my post you will see that I lost my mind a long time ago. I do know what Monkey Gland Sauce is. Look that one up Gadget.
